Detmolder Design Woche 2026
BBA UNLIMITED was in Detmold, NRW, in the first week of May 2026. I got to make an installation at Hangar 21 as part of Detmolder Design Woche.
The theme of the installation is aliens protesting for more Beauty, Brain, Ambition on Earth.
Detmold itself was beautiful. Sadly, I found out too late in my stay that in the neighbouring town of Lemgo is the Junkerhaus, which I would love to visit one day.
Big thanks to Albin Looström, BBA UNLIMITED’s in-house calligrapher and wearing VENT T-SHIRT, for the amazing hand-written signs and banners as well as emotional support.
Despite not being in the pictures, I had my first deep-fried Oreos in beer batter by Carolin Engels, made on her kitchen on wheels, and had fun conversations with Studio Kalle.
